About the Tampa Bay, Tampa and Clearwater Real Estate Market

Tampa Bay Area

Even with the slightly rising interest rates the Tampa Bay area remains strong in the real estate market. The sales of homes increased 24 % over last years sales and is expected to continue upward into the following years. It is still a sellers market with the value of existing homes consistently going up.

This area is such an attractive place to live that the housing market has not faltered even though the economy is in a slight downturn. Florida, especially with no state income tax and the great advantages afforded homeowners, is one of the most attractive real estate buys in the market.

Clearwater

The real estate market in Clearwater is very similar to that in Tampa. Houses are on the market in Clearwater and Clearwater Beach an average of 73 days and many of the condominiums and townhouses are selling before there built which gives the buyer a choice of some decorative items to choose from such as lighting fixtures and carpeting. These homes especially if they are on or near the beach appreciate rapidly and most of the Clearwater area is on or near the beach.
